Brown Rice Tube Noodles (Banh Canh Ong Gao Lut)
Product Introduction:
Brown Rice Tube Noodles, also known as banh canh ong gao lut, are a type of thick, round noodle made from whole grain brown rice flour. Similar to brown rice pasta, brown rice tube noodles retain the bran and germ layers of the rice, providing a higher nutritional content compared to banh canh made from regular white rice flour. The product has a characteristic light brown color and is rich in fiber, B vitamins, magnesium, and antioxidants. Brown rice tube noodles have a thick, round strand shape and are traditionally used in the Vietnamese banh canh soup dish but offer a healthier and more nutritious version.
Instructions for Use:
- Boil an adequate amount of water for the banh canh dish (depending on the amount of noodles and servings).
- Once the water is boiling, add the brown rice tube noodles.
- Cook the noodles for about 8-12 minutes or until the strands soften and reach your desired level of chewiness. Stir gently occasionally to prevent the noodles from sticking together and to the bottom of the pot.
- Remove the noodles and rinse them quickly under cold water to make them more chewy and prevent sticking.
- Drain the noodles, and then they can be used to prepare traditional brown rice banh canh soup with various toppings such as fish cakes, shrimp, and meat, or used in stir-fried or mixed dishes as desired.
Storage:
- Store brown rice tube noodles in a cool, dry place.
- Avoid direct sunlight and high humidity.
